Check that SmoothCue may use the microphone and speech recognition (iPhone Settings › SmoothCue). In the prompter, the small red dot under the card should react to your voice: if it stays grey, nothing is listening. If your script’s language isn’t installed on your iPhone, recognition goes through Apple’s servers and needs an internet connection.

Voice follow works with English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Polish and Turkish. The language is picked from your script, not from your iPhone’s language.

Tap the word you’re on: the highlighter jumps there and carries on. You can also pause the take, scroll the card, and resume.

Yes: tap Aa in the prompter and choose “Steady scroll”. You can change the speed while recording, with − and +.

SmoothCue needs permission to add to your Photos (iPhone Settings › SmoothCue › Photos). Also check your free storage: a 4K minute takes about 400 MB.

Yes: plug it in or connect it before you open the prompter. The video records its sound.

Yes: turn your iPhone before you tap record. The video keeps the orientation it started in.

In SmoothCue: Settings › Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.

iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions › SmoothCue › Cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends and you won’t be charged. SmoothCue’s settings show the exact end date of your trial.

Refunds are handled by Apple: go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose SmoothCue.

Yes: the lifetime purchase unlocks everything, for good, with no subscription.
